The best riding is in southern Indiana. Once you get above Indianapolis, the terrain tends to flatten out quite a bit. If you are looking for curves, scenery and great food, then look no further. This road has it all!
If starting from the west, we usually try and pick it up just before Hoosier National Forest and take it east to Corydon. It starts out a little slow but picks up quickly. We’ve ridden this road both briskly and leisurely with equal amounts of enjoyment. We’ve seen a sports car club with several members, other like minded two wheel enthusiast and hot rod clubs, all out for a day of fun.
This road isn’t just curves, it’s very scenic also. You will be surrounded by some of Indiana’s beautiful landscape during your ride. About 2/3rd’s the way through, make sure to stop off at the Overlook Restaurant, in Leavenworth, even if it’s just for a break. The view of the Ohio River is outstanding!
As mentioned earlier, if food is what you’re after, look no further. The food here is really good along with a great view while eating. They can get a little busy at times so you may want to call ahead and plan accordingly.
